Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has charged newly inaugurated members of the Osun State Governing Board of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, to remain committed to the service and welfare of corps members in the state.
Governor Adeleke who was represented by the Commissioner for Youth Affairs, Olagunju Moshood Olalekan have this charge during the inauguration of the Governing Board members on Thursday, at the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Osun State Government Secretariat, Abere.
The Osun helmsman emphasised the importance of dedication and availability, encouraging members to respond promptly whenever duty calls.
“The welfare and development of Corps Members must remain our top priority. I urge all board members to always be ready to serve.”
The state government also reaffirmed its commitment to providing the necessary resources and support for the smooth operation of the NYSC Scheme.
Also speaking at the event, the Director, NYSC South West Area Office 1, Olubukola Abiodun commended the Osun State Government for its continued support of the NYSC.
She stressed the importance of collaboration in ensuring the success of the scheme.
“The NYSC remains a vital institution in fostering national unity and development. The support from the Osun State Government has been instrumental, and we look forward to further strengthening this partnership,” she stated.
The ceremony was attended by Principal Officers of the Ministry, appointed Board Members.
