The United Nations Peace and Positive Living Awareness Centre (PEPOCAC) has conferred the prestigious title of Distinguished Ambassador for World Peace on Ambassador Aminu Majidadi, the National President of the Almushahid Initiative for Transparency and Accountability (AITA), in recognition of his unwavering commitment to peacebuilding, social justice, and democratic advocacy.
The investiture ceremony, held at the AITA headquarters in Abuja, witnessed the presence of top officials from PEPOCAC, who hailed Majidadi’s consistent efforts in championing the cause of peace, defending the rights of the vulnerable, and amplifying the voices of the marginalized in Nigerian society.
Delivering the keynote address, the International President of PEPOCAC, Bishop Dr. Ozioma Ozoemena, stated that the conferment followed a thorough review of Majidadi’s selfless service to humanity, particularly his role in fostering peaceful coexistence, promoting good governance, and supporting the welfare of people in rural communities.
“Ambassador Majidadi has not only stood as a beacon of peace but has also remained a conscience of the society through his advocacy. His contributions to democratic processes and consistent stand for the voiceless are exemplary and deserving of international recognition,” Bishop Ozoemena said.
The delegation, comprising PEPOCAC executive members including Ambassador Patience Asante (Ghana), Dr. Ogochukwu Soludo, Mrs. Onyinyeoma Soludo, and Apostle Dr. Henry Ihekire, presented Ambassador Majidadi with investiture materials, including a Mofla, a diplomatically recognized international identity card granting him access across global territories, a certificate, a sticker, an official pack, and a brochure.
Bishop Ozoemena further disclosed that the honour was bestowed upon Majidadi following the conclusion of the second edition of the Peace Conference in Abuja, held in Commemoration of the 2025 World Peace Day. He expressed optimism that the honour would usher in strategic collaborations toward a more peaceful and just society.
Receiving his certificate, Majidadi appreciated the delegation for the recognition as he assured them of commitment to peace building.
“I am deeply honoured and humbled to receive the title of Distinguished Ambassador for World Peace from the United Nations Peace and Positive Living Awareness Centre (PEPOCAC). This recognition reaffirms my lifelong commitment to promoting peace, justice, and the protection of human dignity.
“I extend my heartfelt appreciation to Bishop Dr. Ozioma Ozoemena and the esteemed PEPOCAC delegation for this prestigious honour. I also acknowledge the presence and solidarity of Amb. Patience Asante, Dr. Ogochukwu Soludo, Mrs. Onyinyeoma Soludo, and Apostle Dr. Henry Ihekire,”he said.
He further stated that the honour is not his alone but to every citizen who strives for peace, every voice raised for justice, and every hand extended in service to humanity.
He said he remains steadfast in my resolve to continue working for a society where peace, equity, and transparency prevail.
“May this recognition further strengthen our collective efforts toward a peaceful world,” he said.
