The National President of the Almushahid Initiative for Transparency and Accountability (AITA), Ambassador Aminu Majidadi, has called on Nigerians to embrace the true spirit of Christmas, emphasizing humility, forgiveness, and love as central to the celebration.

In his Christmas and New Year message, Majidadi described the season as a time for sober reflection on God’s faithfulness to mankind and an opportunity to inspire positive change in society.

“The essence of Christmas lies in more than just festivities; it is a period for deep reflection on the profound faithfulness of God to humanity,” Majidadi said. “This season reminds us to embrace values such as humility, forgiveness, and genuine love for all, which are the true hallmarks of the Christmas spirit.”

The AITA President expressed his warm congratulations to Christians across the country, urging them to continue to pray for the peace and prosperity of Nigeria. He noted that the Christmas period is not only about celebrating the birth of Christ but also about fostering unity, compassion, and understanding among all citizens, irrespective of their background or beliefs.

“As we celebrate, let us remember that the season is not only for personal joy but also an invitation to work together for the greater good of society,” Majidadi remarked. “Let this be a time where we renew our commitment to creating positive change in our communities, ensuring that our actions reflect the compassion and love that Christ taught.”

Majidadi further called on Nigerians to use this period as a springboard for a renewed focus on fostering national unity and peace, which he believes are essential for the country’s continued growth and prosperity.

He concluded his message by wishing all Nigerians a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year, urging everyone to join in praying for the well-being and success of the nation in the year ahead. “With humility and a shared spirit, we can overcome challenges and build a future of peace and prosperity for all,” he added.
