A Nigerian woman, Helen Loveth, has confessed to fabricating claims of acquiring a N500 million mansion after giving a testimony at Evangelist Ebuka Obi’s Zion Ministry.
Loveth had previously testified that divine intervention enabled her to purchase a luxurious five-bedroom property, sparking widespread attention and praise.
However, the story took a turn over the weekend when she was seen selling drinks in Enugu.
A video of local residents confronting Loveth quickly went viral on social media, raising questions about the authenticity of her testimony.
Amid the backlash, Prophet Ebuka Obi publicly distanced himself from the situation, stating he had no prior knowledge of the woman’s claims.
In a visibly distressed state during questioning, Loveth admitted that she had not yet bought the house and was still in the process of trying to acquire it.
“I did not build the house. We’re in the process of buying it. I have checked it, and the agent said we should go and meet the landlord,” she said.
Speaking further after her arrest by the police, she reiterated that the property did not belong to her.
“It is not mine yet. I don’t own any house,” Loveth clarified.
