The National President of the Al-Mushahid Initiative for Transparency and Accountability (AITA), Amb. Aminu Majidadi, and the Administrative Head, Silvan Majidadi, have underscored the critical role of communication and capacity building in achieving the organization’s mandate of combating corruption.
Speaking at a recent staff capacity-building session, Silvan Majidadi highlighted the pivotal role of administration in uniting people within an organization through effective communication. She emphasized that communication encompasses both internal and external interactions, with management bearing the responsibility of setting a culture of open dialogue.
“Organizational communication is a cornerstone of success,” she said, stressing the importance of formal and informal communication channels. She further explained that effective communication both upward and downward fosters an environment conducive to growth and helps maintain a positive and ethical workforce.
Silvan noted that strong communication practices are integral to upholding the organization’s code of ethics and ensuring a productive and harmonious workplace. “Effective communication not only drives organizational success but also ensures the workforce remains motivated and aligned with the core values of the organization,” she added.
On his part, the National President, Amb. Aminu Majidadi, reiterated the importance of continuous training and retraining of staff across all levels to achieve AITA’s organizational goals. He stressed that capacity building is an indispensable tool in equipping the workforce with the skills and knowledge necessary to combat corruption effectively and drive sustainable development.
Amb. Majidadi reaffirmed AITA’s commitment to its mandate, noting that the organization’s success hinges on a well-informed and proactive team. “As an NGO dedicated to the fight against corruption, we must remain steadfast in our efforts by investing in our people. Continuous training ensures that we stay ahead and effectively address the challenges within our mandate,” he stated.
The event served as a platform to reinforce the organization’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and ethical governance while equipping its workforce with the tools to excel in their roles.
