As Muslims across the globe celebrate Eid-ul-Adha, the National President of the Al-Mushahid Initiative for Transparency and Accountability (AITA), Ambassador Aminu Majidadi, has felicitated with Nigerians, urging them to reflect on the essence of the season by upholding the values of sacrifice, compassion, and national unity.

In a goodwill message issued in Abuja on Saturday, Amb. Majidadi congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the occasion, calling for renewed dedication to peaceful coexistence, religious tolerance, and collective efforts towards nation-building.

“Eid-ul-Adha is a solemn reminder of the virtues of obedience, devotion, and selflessness. As we commemorate this sacred festival, I urge all Nigerians, particularly the Muslim faithful, to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice and extend hands of support to the needy, especially during these challenging times,” the statement read.

Amb. Majidadi further emphasized the need for unity and mutual respect across ethnic and religious divides, noting that sustainable national development can only be achieved through collaboration, justice, and accountability.

He stated, “At a time when our nation is faced with economic hardship and rising insecurity, it is imperative that we remain united in purpose, resolute in faith, and committed to the ideals of equity, transparency, and good governance.”

The AITA President also commended security agencies and frontline workers for their sacrifices in safeguarding lives and property, calling on government at all levels to prioritize policies that enhance the welfare of citizens.

While praying for a peaceful and joyful Eid celebration, he reaffirmed AITA’s unwavering commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, and social justice in Nigeria.

“May the blessings of Eid-ul-Adha bring healing to our land, hope to our people, and the strength to continue striving for a better, more equitable nation,” he concluded.
