The Federal Government has commenced recruitment for various positions within the Federal Civil Service, according to an official statement from the Federal Civil Service Commission, FCSC.
A public advertorial signed by the Director of Recruitment and Appointment, Ogaba Ede, on Monday, January 28, detailed the 70 positions open for applications.
The positions range across administrative, technical, and professional fields.
Some of the vacancies include roles such as Administrative Officer, Programme Analyst, Procurement Officer, Senior Computer Engineer, Dentist/Dental Officer, Education Officer, and Medical Laboratory Scientist.
Others include Fisheries Officer, State Counsel, Radiographer, Psychologist, Geologist, and Foreign Affairs Officer, among others.
In a press release signed by the FCSC’s Head of Press and Public Relations, Taiwo Hassan, it was revealed that applications must be submitted through the official recruitment portal.
“The Federal Civil Service Commission is receiving applications for various vacancies in the Federal Civil Service,” the statement said.
It continued, “The vacancy announcement is published on the commission’s website: www.fedcivilservice.gov.ng and national newspapers. Eligible applicants are to apply for only one position via the application link: https://recruitment.fedcivilservice.gov.ng.”
Applicants were advised to upload necessary documents, including their curriculum vitae, degree certificates, NYSC discharge or exemption certificates, birth certificate, local government identification, and a recent passport photograph.
“All applications are to be submitted on or before Monday, 10th March 2025,” the FCSC further stated.
The Commission noted that physically challenged applicants are welcome to apply but must specify the nature of their disability.
It is unclear if more than one personnel will be recruited for each listed position.
However, the Commission emphasised that applicants must adhere to the guidelines provided.
This announcement has been widely circulated, with the Commission urging qualified Nigerians to seize the opportunity.
According to the FCSC, this recruitment drive aims to strengthen public service delivery across various sectors by filling critical roles with qualified personnel.
Interested individuals were encouraged to visit the commission’s website or refer to national newspapers for further details.
The Federal Civil Service recruitment process has historically been competitive, with the FCSC urging applicants to ensure compliance with the application requirements.
The FCSC also warned applicants against engaging with fraudulent websites or individuals, stressing that all applications should be processed through the official portal.
